Welcome to the new look website for our recently renovated holiday home in Sacey, Normandy. Please take time to browse through the pages which include many pictures and detailed floor plans. We hope you will like what you see and if you need more information or wish to make a booking enquiry in either English or French, please contact us by email, phone or in writing. Details top right and on our Bookings page. Sacey is a lovely village in the rural French countryside on the Normandy and Brittany borders and is an ideal base for exploring the North West of France or relaxing and soaking up the wonderful French atmosphere. It’s an unspoilt traditional French village with friendly locals and good facilities nearby. Details on our Local Area page. The nearest ferry port is St Malo, just 45 minutes by car. From the ferry and tunnel crossings at Calais, it takes just over 5 hours non stop and is 4 hours from Paris. Full directions are on our Bookings page. There are so many attractions you could visit during your stay for children and adults. Fun places, historical places and war sites are all within easy reach. Check out our Local Area page for a few we've visited or seen with web links, including the main tourism websites. The house is a barn conversion that has been recently refurbished to a high standard by British and local craftsmen. It has 4 bedrooms (2 double, 1 twin and one with 2 sets of bunk beds, plus a Mezzanine play area with a sofa bed) and sleeps up to 12 people + 2 cots. It has three showers, one en-suite, one upstairs and one in the luxury bathroom/wet room, with a roll top bath, sink, toilet and bidet. The main living area is on the first floor with an open plan sitting room and dining area which features a double height ceiling with exposed wooden beams. There are 3 sofas, entertainment equipment, a large table for 14 people, a wood burner and games table. The adjoining kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge-freezer, drinks fridge, gas cooker (bottled) and microwave. In addition, the utility room has a washing machine, ironing board and iron. It's very cosy and warm in the winter with centrally heated radiators in every room and a 'ballon' providing plenty of hot water. The house is also cool in the summer due to plenty of windows and thick walls. Outside we have a very private south west facing garden with barbeque, grass and gravelled areas, decking and garden furniture which benefits from good sunshine in the summer and autumn. The garden height is halfway between the ground and first floor with steps from both levels. There is on street parking right outside the house and an integral garage for one car. A floor plan can really make a difference when trying to work out who's going to sleep where in advance. Especially when there a number of families sharing a house. Detailed plans, room descriptions and photos are included on The House page. We've included all facilities and equipment you'll need to make your stay like a home from home, but don't just take our word for it, see what our visitors have written in our guest book on the Feedback page. We hope you'll find our rates very competitive. For 12 people during the summer peak months, it works out at about £54 per head per week for 12 people. A full breakdown of our prices, terms and conditions can be found on the Bookings page. |
